Discover the timeless beauty and versatility of our thin gauge patina copper sheets. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these premium 36 gauge (5 mil) copper sheets feature stunning patina finishes that add an authentic elegance to any project. Measuring up to 3 feet wide and 20 feet long, with various custom sizes available, they’re perfect for transforming your creative visions into reality.
Handmade in Kansas City, Missouri, each sheet boasts unique color and pattern variations, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike—this artisanal quality enhances their appeal for one-of-a-kind designs. Our thin gauge copper is easy to work with, can be cut with normal scissors, and easily bent, making it ideal for hands-on applications. We recommend using contact cement to adhere the copper securely to surfaces.
All sheets arrive lacquer-coated to safeguard the vibrant patina finish. The lacquer coating provides initial protection; for long-term use in high-traffic areas, consider re-lacquering the copper once a year or using an epoxy coating for high traffic areas.
For most orders, expect a lead time of 5-7 business days; larger orders may take longer—please reach out for an exact lead time. All copper is shipped on a roll for protection. It will flatten back out once unrolled. For other shipping options or any questions, contact us at orders@vividcopper.com.
Care Instructions: To maintain your patina copper sheets, gently clean with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed—avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
Is light gauge right for your project?
Light gauge is best for craft and art projects, wrapping curved surfaces, and cabinet fronts. Working on a backsplash, ceiling, wall panel, range hood, countertop or bar top? Those call for our heavy gauge copper sheets, available in this finish.

The look was exactly as pictured, and exactly the same as the small sample in the collection of samples. I am satisfied with the project, and my project turned out great. I appreciated the advice to use spray lacquer on it. One warning that might help others: Until it's lacquered, be gentle on the finish; I unwisely stuck some tape to the copper, and was distressed to see the tape peel away the black tarnish that's part of the "mottled" finish.
